Ingredients Explained

Many such formulations will try hide ingredients, we do not! QD is proud of the ingredients and would not allow sub standard or harmful ingredients to be used.

Phase 1 contains,

Deionized Water – purest and best form

Olive Oil and Coconut Oil – these wonderful carrier oils moisturise the nails

Hydrolyzed Keratin, Hydrolyzed Collagen and Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein – these well known proteins are renowned for their benefits to human skin and nails.

Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate – Water and oil of course do not mix so these 2 simply allow this process to be possible. Essential in cream making.

Cetyl Alcohol – Merely to thicken and keep in cream form

Calcium Chloride and Calcium Pantothenate – Calcium, pure and powerful exactly what nails require.

Propylene Glycol – A humectant, which means it hydrates the nails. It helps the active ingredients penetrate through skin in cosmetics. There are those who feel it is not good for skin care for that reason. It is exactly this however that makes it ideal for a nail preparation. The nail is super hard to penetrate so this ingredient is just what is needed to assist all the goodness into the nail.

Glycerine – A second humectant for extra hydration.

Vitamin-e Acetate – This needs little introduction. We all know how beneficial this superb vitamin is.

Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate – Often we read ingredients and wonder what on earth they are. Are they terrible or hazardous? Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate is one scary sounding ingredient right? However the good news is that it is simply liquorice root extract. It is a wonder ingredient commonly used as Humectant, Soothing Agent and Anti Allergen for a variety of applications in Skin Care and Nail Care.

Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol.- Preservatives. Phenoxyethanol is a preservative found naturally occurring in green tea and chicory. Ethylhexylgylcerin is a synthetic ingredient derived from glycerin, an organic compound that is  vegan friendly.

Phase 2 Contains,

Deionized Water – Natures cure

Glycerine – A humectant which hydrates the nail.

Pro-Vitamin B5 – Also known as Panthenol. Your nails are made from keratin proteins, just like your hair. This means that Panthenol can strengthen your finger and toenails. Studies have found that applying panthenol to the nail can help hydrate the nail and prevent breakage.

Disodium Monofluorophosphate – The crux of the matter! This is medical grade fluoride thus it will strengthen nails.

Polysorbate 20 – Again we need to mix water and oil so this does a bit of magic.

Diazolidinyl Urea and Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate – Highly effective, broad spectrum, non-paraben preservative for oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions.
Purple Food Dye.

How does Fluoride Protein Calcium Treatment Work?

Phase 1 contains Calcium, Collagen, Proteins and a lot more but importantly it has ingredients that allow penetration into the nail. Without this little of the amazing ingredients would penetrate very much at all. It also has many other benefits as may be seen from the above ingredients. Phase 1 is applied generously and allowed to do its work for a few minutes.

Phase 2 contains the fluoride as well as other powerful ingredients. It is added directly over phase 1 and allowed to work its magic for 5 -10 minutes.

The nails are then well rinsed. Used regularly the results will speak for themselves.

Use daily for chronic damage for 1 month, weekly thereafter until significant improvement is seen Thereafter a monthly treatment is recommended. For less damaged nails begin with a weekly treatment for 1 or 2 months followed by maintenance of monthly to bi monthly dose. Monthly to bi monthly will also keep healthy nails perfect.
